Dinner with dad @ le marron / definitly will eat here again

tasteful deco, cozy and with privacy to have a nice dinner with dad, they kindda use drops n dividers to make most table seperated into private rooms, although can still hear other ppl chatting, but not looking into other ppl's eye ball is a luxury when dinning in HK

my appetizer, baked escargots, remember to pour the sauce within the shell onto the mash potato, i find it quite tasty (however a tad more of garlic into the mash potato would be great, and again, that can be only me)


smoked salmon with egg salad, dad's appetizer, definely something new to put smoked salmon with egg salad, i tried a small portion, well, i always love smoked salmon, so no complain on this creative dish

my main, game hen w/ tomato sauce, when i heard "pork caul" skin, i though it will be fat and oily, after the manager guarantee, i decided to give it a try, it turn out very nice, with the tomato sauce which balance out the fat and oily feeling that the "pork caul" skin might bring, and acually i'm a big tomato fan too ...

dad's main, duck breast with spaetzle and madeira jus, again, i only tried two pieces, the duck breast was sliced for him, and i really apperciate it, it makes it easier to eat (just little bit worry the dish will get cold fast, however that's not a concern for my dad, *wink haha) duck breast was very tender and cooked to the right portion (we all know how come place always over cook their meats)

since we're quite full, we only share one dessert CREAM BRULEE, i've eaten many cream brulee in the pass, they do a pretty good job on theirs, love the strewberry on top (just thinking, it'd be nice if they could serve them in both warm n cold version, let the customer pick, but then again, maybe it's just me not like eating cold dessert)
